HÀ NỘI — The Việt Nam national football team will have three friendly matches in South Korea to prepare for the ASEAN Football Federation (AFF) Cup 2018.

According to the Việt Nam Football Federation (VFF)’s deputy chairman, Trần Quốc Tuấn, the South Korea Football Federation will support Việt Nam during their training.

“It is a wonderful arrangement,” said Việt Nam’s head coach Park Hang-seo.

As planned, Việt Nam will take part in a training course at the Paju National Football Centre on October 17-28 and play friendlies there.

The final round of the AFF Cup 2018 will be held from November 8 to December 15. Việt Nam are in Group A with Malaysia, Myanmar, Laos and Cambodia.

Group B consists of Thailand, Indonesia, the Philippines, Singapore and the winner of a play-off match between Timor Leste and Brunei.

“Tuấn and I discussed carefully about the plan to prepare for the AFF Cup as well as Asian Games. Everything is well. Of course, VFF will organise more friendly matches for Việt Nam to hone their skills,” said Hang-seo. — VNS
