HÀ NỘI — Việt Nam are in Group E of the AFC U19 Women’s Championship 2019 qualifiers, according to the AFC’s draw held in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia on Wednesday.
Việt Nam will compete against Jordan, Malaysia, and the Northern Mariana Islands. This group is rather favourable for Việt Nam, and they are expected to top the group.
The qualifying round consists of 27 teams including the hosts of the event’s final round, Thailand. They are divided into six groups.
According to the AFC, the qualification will conclude after two rounds.
Round 1 of the qualification campaign commences on October 20-28, 2018 after which each group’s winners, and the two best placed second place teams will progress to Round 2.
Round 2 commences on April 22, 2019 through April 30, 2019 where the top four teams will then advance to the finals. — VNS
