U19 player, Xuân injured in match with Mexico

HÀ NỘI — Midfielder Lê Văn Xuân of the Việt Nam national U19 team was injured in a match against Mexico at the Suwon JS Cup 2018 in South Korea on Wednesday.

According to coach Hoàng Anh Tuấn, Xuân needs at least four weeks to recover from his injury.

Xuân’s back was hurt seriously after a defender from the Mexican team kneed his back. Xuân was sent to the hospital immediately.

Head Coach of Việt Nam national senior football team Park Hang-seo attended the game and said he would ask his friends to ensure that Xuân is taken care of as best as possible.

Việt Nam lost to Mexico 0-4. Việt Nam will face Morocco today at 6pm, and South Korea on April 22 at 4pm. — VNS
