HÀ NỘI — Việt Nam’s U19 football team lost to Mexico 4-0 in the first match of the Suwon JS Cup 2018 in South Korea on Wednesday.

Head coach of Việt Nam national senior football team, Park Hang-seo attended the game.

Save for Việt Nam conceding a 22nd minute penalty which Mexico missed, the two sides played out a fairly even, scoreless first half.

After the break, coach Diego Ramirez changed his tactics and the Mexicans succeeded in scoring four goals to run out comfortable winners

Việt Nam will next face Morocco on April 20 at 6pm and South Korea two days later at 4pm.

Việt Nam are one of four teams taking part alongside South Korea, Mexico and Morocco in the tournament as a warm-up for the finals of the AFC U19 Championship in Indonesia between October 18 and November 4. — VNS
