HÀ NỘI — Lý Hoàng Nam trounced Sharda Rishabh of India 6-0, 6-1 in the first round match of the India F3 Futures’ singles category yesterday in Chandigarh City.
The Vietnamese player, who is seeded No 3, needed just 57 minute to send the wild-card holder out of the tournament.
He will next play Bobrov Bogdan of Russia. The two met at the F2 tournament last week and Nam won 6-1, 6-4.
In the doubles event, Nam and his Spanish partner Carlos Boluda-Purkiss beat American Tyler Hochwalt and Sami Reinwein of Germany 6-3, 6-2.
The No 3 seed pair will face Sidharth Rawat and Manish Sureshkumar of India in the second round. — VNS
