HÀ NỘI — The National Badminton Tournament for youths kicked off in the northern province of Bắc Ninh on July 16.

The event features nearly 200 athletes from 23 teams across the country, including young talents Trần Thị Phương Thúy and Thân Vân Anh of Bắc Giang and Nguyễn Đình Hoàng of Lâm Đồng.

Participants are competing in the men’s and women’s singles, doubles and mixed doubles at the age groups of 10-12, 13-14, 15-16 and 17-18.

The event was organised by the National Sports Administration, Việt Nam Badminton Federation and the provincial Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism.

It will conclude on July 22. — VNS
