HÀ NỘI — Việt Nam Youth lost 0-3 to Japanese Students in their second match of the VTV International Women’s Volleyball Cup on Monday.

Although Việt Nam won the first points of the match in Hải Dương City, it was not to their advantage. Misunderstandings between players and their own mistakes quickly led to them falling behind Japan, who were strong in both attack and defence.

The visitors won all three sets 25-12, 25-13 and 25-7.

Japan currently lead Group B with three wins and have qualified for the semifinals.

Việt Nam Youth team will play Indonesia’s national team in the last match tonight. The winner will secure the second ticket to the last four round.

In an early match of Group A on Monday, South Korea’s Suwon club beat Beijing University 3-2.
