HÀ NỘI — Việt Nam’s Dương Thị Việt Anh won a bronze medal in women’s high jump in the second leg of Asian Grand Prix in China on April 27.
Nadiya Dusonova of Uzbekistan took the gold with a jump of 1.80m at third attempt. Yeung Man Mei of Hong Kong came second at 1.80m at her fourth attempt. Anh jumped 1.75m, finishing third. Also at third place was Nadezhda Duboviskaya of Kazakhstan, with 1.75m.
It is Anh’s second medal at the Grand Prix; she won a silver in the first leg on April 24.
Việt Nam grabbed one gold, one silver and two bronze medals in the second leg, and are placed at the fifth position among the 14 participating teams. China are on top with seven golds, followed by Kazakhstan with four, and India with one.
The third leg will be held on April 30 in Chinese Taipei. — VNS
