HÀ NỘI — Nguyễn Tấn Hoài won the ninth stage of the HCM City Television Cycling Tournament yesterday.

Hoài of Đồng Tháp won the 100km stage from Pleiku City to Konplông District in a time of 2:37.30.

Nguyễn Trường Tài of VUS-TP.HCM and Lê Ngọc Sơn of Gạo Hạt Ngọc Trời-An Giang were the runners-up.

Phan Hoàng Thái of Calytos Đồng Tháp holds the red jersey as king of mountain with eight points, followed him by Hoài with six points.

Nguyễn Văn Dương retained his yellow jersey for best overall time of 19:30.25 after nine stages. Nguyễn Quốc Bảo of Calytos Đồng Tháp and Nguyễn Minh Việt of BTV Đại Nam-Bình Dương are second and third, respectively.

The green jersey as best sprinter belonged to Lê Nguyệt Minh of HCM City with 45 points. Hoài and Huỳnh Thanh Tùng of the Military Zone 7 are second and third with 42 points and 41 points, respectively.

In the team rankings, the Military Zone 7 lead with a time of 58:38.15. Domesco Pharmacy Đồng Tháp and Bike Life ĐN follow the military team.

Today, cyclists will have a day off. Tomorrow, they will compete in the 10th stage from Ba Tơ District to Quảng Ngãi City lasting 86km. — VNS
