HÀ NỘI — Vietnamese representative Lý Hoàng Nam were stopped at the Japan F2 Men’s Futures tennis tournament yesterday in Nishi-Tokyo.
In the singles pool, Nam was beaten 2-6, 6-3, 4-6 by Sho Katayama of the hosts in the quarter-final.
Earlier, he paired with Issei Okamura, as the third seed, and lost unexpectedly to Gengo Kikuchi and Shunrou Takeshima 4-6, 4-6, in the semi-finals.
Nam will continue with the F3 event which will take place from March 20 to March 26, in Kofu City. — VNS
