HÀ NỘI — Saigon Heat beat the Danang Dragons 96-78 in the last regular season match of the Việt Nam Basketball Association League at CIS Arena in HCM City on Sunday.
The hosts scored 12 quick-fire points in the early stages, however, the Dragons took the lead at 25-24.
After the third quarter, the hosts led by 19 points with the score 75-56.
The Da Nang side struggled to close the gap and fell to a 96-78 defeat.
In another fixture, the HCM City Wings crushed the Hanoi Buffaloes 79-69.
The Heat finished on top of the regular season table, followed by HCM City Wings and Hà Nội Buffaloes.
Fourth-placed Cantho Catfish will face basement dwellers Danang Dragons today to decide the last play-off spot. — VNS
