Việt Nam won two gold medals at the 10th WTF World Taekwondo Poomsae Championships which concluded in Lima, Peru, on Monday.

Việt Nam won two gold medals at the 10th WTF World Taekwondo Poomsae Championships which concluded in Lima, Peru, on Monday.

Việt Nam beat Turkey for a gold medal in the female cadet division of the team competition, with Mexico and the US winning bronze medals.

In the freestyle event, Việt Nam beat Turkey to win gold in the teams under 17 division, while Russia and the US won bronzes.

Việt Nam won one more silver medal in the individual males over 17 category thanks to Nguyễn Đình Khôi. Jeordan Dominguez from the Philippines claimed a gold, while Colombia’s Leandro Augusto Rodriguez and Turkey’s Oguzhan Mustafa Ornek took a bronze.

A total of 55 countries and 760 athletes took part in this year’s championships, a record for the event. — VNS
