HÀ NỘI — Vietnamese athletes won two golds and one silver at the Southeast Asian Fencing Federation Championship in Singapore on September 5.
In the men’s epee team class, Việt Nam were on top, followed by Singapore in second place and the Philippines and Duxton Plain Fencing Club, also from Singapore, at third.
In the women’s sabre team, the Vietnamese with Olympian Nguyễn Thị Lệ Dung dominated the event. The Philippines came second, while the hosts were third.
Singapore Team A secured top position in the women’s foil team pool. Việt Nam, led by Olympic participant Đỗ Thị Anh, finished second. The Philippines and Singapore Team B came third.
After three days, Việt Nam have grabbed four golds, five silvers and six bronzes.
The tournament ends on September 6. — VNS
