Việt Nam bring home four Asian wushu golds

HÀ NỘI — Việt Nam wrapped up the Asian Wushu Championships with four gold medals, eight silver medals and five bronze medals on September 5 in Chinese Taipei.

In the final day of competition, Vũ Minh Đức (men’s 48kg), Đinh Văn Hương (men’s 52kg) and Tô Văn Báu (men’s 56kg) won their titles in the sanda (sparring) events.

Their teammates, Hoàng Thị Luân (women’s 48kg), Nguyễn Thị Thu Thủy (women’s 52kg), Nguyễn Thị Trang (women’s 65kg), Chu Thị Thúy Hằng (women’s 70kg), Hoàng Văn Cao (men’s 65kg) and Hạng Khái Giàng (men’s 75kg) won sanda silver medals.

Earlier, the Vietnamese team earned one gold medal, one silver medal and four bronze medals in the taolu (performance) discipline. — VNS
