HÀ NỘI — Nguyễn Thị Quỳnh pocketed a gold medal at the SEA Pacific Fencing Championship in Pasig City, the Philippines.

Quỳnh successfully topped the cadet girls’ sabre event, beating Drew Celso of the host country 15-13 in the final.

Her teammate Phùng Thị Khánh Linh shared third place with Mohd Rais Pang Nadira Pang of Brunei.

The tournament will conclude on May 31. — VNS
