Vietnamese female wrestlers are seeking more berths to compete in the Rio 2016 Olympic Games via the last Olympic qualifier that took place in Istanbul, Turkey, yesterday.

Vietnamese female wrestlers are seeking more berths to compete in the Rio 2016 Olympic Games via the last Olympic qualifier that took place in Istanbul, Turkey, yesterday.

Kiều Thị Ly, who won gold medal at the Asian Youth Wrestling Championships last year, will compete in the women’s 51kg event, and 2013 Southeast Asian Games gold medallist Phạm Thị Loan plays in the women’s 55kg category.

So far female wrestlers Nguyễn Thị Lụa and Vũ Thị Hằng have qualified for the Olympics in August.

The event will last until tomorrow. – VNS
