HCM City successfully defended their title at the National Vovinam Clubs Championships which closed in An Giang Province yesterday.

On the last day of competition there were four finals.

Nguyễn Thanh Liêm won in the men’s 57kg class, taking the 13th gold medal for HCM City.

Châu Thị Mộng Nhi triumphed in the women’s 54kg pool; Trần Thị Hương of People’s Police topped the women’s 63kg class and Huỳnh Phi Long of Bà Rịa-Vũng Tàu secured gold in the men’s 48kg division.

After five days, HCM stood on top with 13 golds and 10 bronzes. Cần Thơ came second with seven golds and the Military finished third with three titles. – VNS
