Vietnamese football clubs ready to shine in 2024-25 ASEAN Club Championship

HÀ NỘI — Starting August 21, two representatives from Việt Nam, Hà Nội Police and Đông Á Thanh Hóa, will compete in the 2024-25 ASEAN Club Championship.

Đông Á Thanh Hóa are in Group A alongside BG Pathum United, PSM Makassar, Terengganu, Svay Rieng and Shan United. Meanwhile, Hà Nội Police is in Group B, facing Buriram United, Kuala Lumpur City, Borneo FC Samarinda, Lion City Sailors, and Kaya FC–Iloilo.

Thanh Hóa will kick off their campaign against Shan United on August 21, with the team confident of securing all three points after salaries and bonuses were paid.

On August 22, Hà Nội Police will face a highly anticipated match against the giants of Thai football, Buriram United. The Thai team is considered a strong contender this year, featuring a lineup of regional stars, including Theerathon Bunmathan, Supachai Chaided, and Narubadin Weerawatnodom.
