HÀ NỘI  HCM City 1 have found out their rivals at the AFC Women's Champions League after a draw held on July 18 in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.

In Group C, the Việt Nam champions will play Urawa Red Diamonds of Japan, Taichung Blue Whale of Chinese Taipei and winner of the Preliminary stage's Group B on home turf.

Wuhan Jiangda Women FC of China will host Group A where they are accompanied by Hyundai Steel Red Angels Women FC of South Korea, winner of Preliminary stage's Group C and winner of Preliminary stage's Group A.

Over in Group B, Melbourne City FC from Australia are placed together with Kaya FC – Iloilo of the Philippines, hosts College of Asian Scholars of Thailand and winner of Preliminary stage's Group D.

The Preliminary stage features 13 teams divided into four groups. Matches will be played between August 25 and August 31. The four group winners will then advance to the above Group Stage from October 6-12 with the venues to be confirmed later.

All participants will receive US$100,000 for their presence in the Group Stage. The bonus will be increased based on their progress and final ranking.

Two top teams of each group and two best third-placed ones will advance to the quarter-finals.

The winner of the first official league for women's clubs will walk away with $1.3 million in cash.

Currently, HCM City are on top of the national championship 2024's table. They have five points clear of the closest rival while the tournament will end on August 3 with three rounds left. VNS
