HÀ NỘI — The Vietnamese women's futsal team will leave for China on July 10 for an international friendly tournament, where the team will play against a team ranked eighth in the world, the Việt Nam Football Federation (VFF) has announced.

The futsal friendly event will take place from July 11-15 in China, with Iran, Uzbekistan and the host China participating.

Iran is ranked eighth on the FIFA women's futsal rankings, while Việt Nam are ranked 13th. Uzbekistan and China are ranked 24th and 25th in the world, respectively. This quality friendly tournament presents a good opportunity for Việt Nam to gain valuable experience.

The Vietnamese team will face the Chinese, Iranian and Uzbekistan teams on July 12, 13 and 15, respectively.

"The upcoming event will be the best preparation plans for Việt Nam to get ready for the Indoor Games and the Women's Futsal World Cup qualifiers in 2025. Currently, we have experienced players who have played for the team for many years, combined with young players. I believe that next time, the young players will improve when they compete with each other," said coach Nguyễn Đình Hoàng. VNS
