HÀ NỘI — Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism Nguyễn Văn Hùng has sent a letter of congratulations to the Việt Nam SEA Games delegation after their remarkable achievement in the opening after days at the SEA Games.

Minister Hùng on May 9 praised and congratulated the success of the contingent and hoped that all members would train and compete with the highest determination in Cambodia.

He said in his letter that the good results so far were a result of great effort and determination of athletes and coaches who fought for the pride of the country.

He believed that they would secure more top results at the regional sport meet in the coming days when many athletes would take part in their competitions.

Việt Nam sent 702 athletes to the Games. They aim to bring home between 90 and 120 gold medals to place the country in the top three.

After four days of competitions, the team have won 39 golds and currently sit in second position. VNS
