HÀ NỘI -- The Việt Nam Football Federation (VFF) and Sun Group on February 23 signed a cooperation agreement on developing national football over a three-year period.
Following the deal, the group's Sun World brand will be an official partner of the national team and in many other activities of the federation from February 1, 2023 to January 31, 2026.
"Sun Group, as one of the leading enterprises carrying out social activities for the community, wishing to contribute its part to national development, lifting the position of the country in the world, share the desire of those who want to lift Vietnamese football to the international level. We hope that with the cooperation of Sun Group, the national team under the VFF's guidance will continue to devote to the cause and reach new milestones," said Đặng Minh Trường, chairman of the board of directors of Sun Group.
Speaking at the signing ceremony, VFF President Trần Quốc Tuấn thanked Sun Group for their help and said Sun Group's companionship with the national football team at this time was really great encouragement for the players, coaches and the federation. The support would help provide the best conditions for their preparation for the coming international tournaments.
Also at the ceremony, the VFF official revealed that the new national team coach would be announced on February 27. He is expected to guide the team in various tournaments in 2023 including the 2026 FIFA World Cup's second qualifier, 32nd SEA Games and 19th Asian Games.
