Hải Phòng—Nguyễn Hữu Quyết (male) and Park Si Eun from Korea (female) became champions of the Nam Á Bank Việt Nam Masters 2022 today after the four days of competition in Hải Phòng’s Marsh Field, Vinpearl Golf.

Quyết, who has devoted to golf for many years, won his first victory at VGA Tour, the professional golf tournament system, while Park Si Eun, after 5 play-offs with Nguyễn Thảo My, was officially the first Women’s Division champion of Vietnam Masters.

The weather of Vũ Yên, Hải Phòng was extremely supportive for the last competition day when it was sunny and slightly breezy. Up to 4 negative scores were recorded today. The race for championship became more entertaining and thrilling when the scores were always close, and the rankings changed constantly.

Quyết and Phạm Minh Đức had a thrilling day until the last minute when they tied after 18-hole game. In the playoff, Đức had a bit of bad luck when his ball fell into the lake which gave Quyết an advantage in this play off and won the most prestigious cup.

Quyết had a day of even par score with 4 birdies and 4 bogeys, 72 strokes in total. His total 4 round score is even par. He kept his consistent form through all 4 tournament days. 

Đức was the name that "stormed" before the start of the tournament as soon as the official list of players was released. He was the best scorer today with 2 under par, carding 5 birdies and only 3 bogeys. Unfortunately, he was unable to reach the top position in the final play-off round.

 Lê Khánh Hùng, the only amateur in the top 10 had a smooth game with 1 under par. He scored 4 birdies and got 3 bogeys to get the final result of 3 over par after 4 days of intense battle.

In the Women's Division, Park Si Eun and Nguyễn Thảo My had 5 extremely tense play offs when both had 4 draw extra-times. In the last play off, Park showed her bravery as her birdie earned her final victory.

South Korean Park Si Eun has been named the champion of the Nam A Bank Vietnam Masters 2022.

My played a brilliant game with a total score of 1 under par after the first 18 holes. She scored 3 birdies and 2 bogeys, making a total of 71 strokes on the final day and locking up her after 4-round score of 16 over par. Park Si Eun also shared the same score with My before entering the play-offs. Park Si Eun didn’t card her best round of this season when she got 2 double bogeys and 3 bogeys. The Korean female golfer only scored 1 birdie and got the result of 6 over par today.

The Nam A Bank Vietnam Masters 2022 was held by the Vietnam Sports Administration, Vietnam Golf Association and Vietnam Golf Service Joint Stock Company (VGS), with VNĐ 1.2 billion given out as prizes, including VNĐ1 billion for men and VNĐ200 million for women.
