No child left behind

Catherine Russell, head of one of the biggest organisations dedicated to children, UNICEF, visited Việt Nam last week. During the 3-day visit, she visited Gia Lai, one of the poorest provinces in the country, and met local children, parents and other community members. The UNICEF Executive Director called for urgent action to address challenges like malnutrition and inequality and highlighted the importance of the inclusion of all children into the country’s development and prosperity.

Bến Tre develops value chains for key agricultural products

Bến Tre Province is taking measures to effectively improve value chains for eight key agricultural products, including coconut, green skin and pink flesh grapefruit, rambutan, longan, ornamental plants and flowers, pigs, cows, and saltwater shrimp.

VNĐ400 trillion needed to upgrade seaports by 2030

In his keynote speech, Nguyễn Xuân Sang, Deputy Minister of Transport, said that after 20 years of development, Việt Nam's seaport system has formed a network with a length of 90km, capable of supporting and delivering 750 million tonnes per year, rivalling regional and international seaports.
