HÀ NỘI — Ten new imported cases of COVID-19 were recorded in Việt Nam on Tuesday evening, bringing the total number of infections to 1,226, according to the Ministry of Health.
Patients 1,217; 1,218; 1,219 and 1,220 are Russian experts.
They arrived in Việt Nam from Russia via Tân Sơn Nhất International Airport in HCM City on November 8, aboard flight IAE4405.
They were put under quarantine at Bà Rịa-Vũng Tàu Province’s Bà Rịa Hospital upon arrival and tested positive for the virus on Tuesday.
Patient 1,221, a male expert from Germany, entered Việt Nam from Singapore via Tân Sơn Nhất International Airport in HCM City on November 8.
He tested positive for the virus on Monday and was put under quarantine at Ninh Thuận Province’s General Hospital.
Patient 1,222, male, 51, is from Thiệu Hóa District, Thanh Hóa Province; patient 1,223, male, 59, is from Mỹ Hào District, Hưng Yên Province; and patient 1,224, male, 40, lives in Hà Nội’s Chương Mỹ District.
They returned to Việt Nam from Russia on flight VN5062 on October 31 via Vân Đồn Airport. They were quarantined at Hòa Bình Province’s General Hospital upon arrival.
Earlier on this flight, 19 cases tested positive for the virus and we’re isolated at quarantine camps in Hưng Yên, Hòa Bình and Quảng Ninh provinces.
Patient 1,225, male, 28, lives in Sóc Trăng City, Sóc Trăng Province. He returned to Việt Nam from Japan via Đà Nẵng airport on flight VN311. He tested positive for the virus on Monday and was put under quarantine at Đà Nẵng Lung Hospital.
Patient 1,226, male, 61, lives in District 4, HCM City. He returned to Việt Nam from the United States via Đà Nẵng airport on Sunday.
He tested positive for the virus on Monday and is being treated at Quảng Nam Regional General Hospital.
As of 6pm on November 10, a total of 1,087 COVID-19 patients in Việt Nam had recovered, and the death toll remains at 35. — VNS
