One imported case of COVID-19 reported, total rises to 1,110

One imported case was confirmed on Monday evening raising the number of COVID-19 patients in Việt Nam to 1,110, said the Ministry of Health.

HÀ NỘI — One more imported COVID-19 case was confirmed on Monday evening bringing the total number of patients in Việt Nam to 1,110.

The new patient is a 35-year-old Indian man who came to work in the northern province of Vĩnh Phúc as an expert. He entered the country on October 6 via the Tân Sơn Nhất International Airport on the flight 6E9471. He was moved to a quarantine centre in HCM City.

He began suffering virus symptoms October 10 and tested positive for SARS-CoV-2 virus the next day. He is being treated at the HCM City Hospital for Tropical Diseases.

Earlier six cases were reported on the same flight.

Meanwhile one more patient has recovered taking the total number of people who have beaten the virus to 1,025. — VNS
