HCM CITY — Sài Gòn Railways Transport JSC will start selling group tickets for next year’s Tết (Lunar New Year) holidays in early October, according to its director, Đỗ Quang Văn.
Tết falls on February 12 next year.
Văn said a group means at least five passengers.
From September 15 to 25 companies, organisations and agencies can register to buy tickets at the city station on Nguyễn Thông Street in District 3, 0911499965 or phongvedoancnsg@gmail.com.
They are required to bring a letter of recommendation from their employer and full details of all passengers along with their ID, and birth certificates in case of children under 14.
All tickets are sold at the station, by ticket agents and online at www.dsvn.vn, www.vetau.com.vn, giare.vetau.vn and e-wallet applications.
Details about tickets for individuals will be announced later.
Last year the company sold nearly 290,000 tickets for Tết, including 8,500 to groups.
Last week it resumed the operation of trains SE4/SE3, SE21/SE22, SPT2/SPT1, and SNT2 from HCM City to Hà Nội, Đà Nẵng, Phan Thiết, and Nha Trang after suspending them due to the COVID-19 pandemic. — VNS
