Two imported cases of COVID-19 reported, total rises to 415

Two men who returned to Việt Nam from Russia on a repatriation flight are the latest people to test positive for COVID-19.

HÀ NỘI — Two men who returned to Việt Nam from Russia on a repatriation flight are the latest people to test positive for COVID-19.

They are a 34-year-old from Đại Hợp Commune, Kiến Thụy District in the northern province of Thái Bình and a 25-year-old from Ninh Sơn Commune, Việt Yên District, in the northern province of Bắc Giang.

Both men were immediately quarantined when they landed at Vân Đồn Airport on July 17. They are being treated at Cầu Yên General Hospital in Hoa Lư District, Ninh Bình Province.

The total number of cases in Việt Nam now stands at 415.

Meanwhile, there has been no further update on the condition of a 57-year-old man who is suspected of contracting the virus in Đà Nẵng City.

After testing positive for COVID-19 on three occasions, medical staff in the central city are waiting for the results of a fourth test.

Deputy Director of the Đà Nẵng health department Nguyễn Tiên Hồng said that the patient is currently on a ventilator. — VNS
