HÀ NỘI — Two more COVID-19 patients have been given the all-clear and were discharged from the Quảng Ninh Hospital 2 in Quảng Ninh Province on Thursday morning, lifting the total recovered cases in Việt Nam to 173.

The recovered patients in full are:

Patient 52 is a female, 24, Vietnamese nationality, from Hạ Long City of the northeastern province of Quảng Ninh. She flew from London to Việt Nam on March 9. She was admitted to the hospital on March 13.

During treatment, the patient was tested three times and all tests came back negative for SARS-CoV-2 on April 13, 14 and 15.

Patient 149, a male, 40 years old, Vietnamese nationality, living in Long Biên District, Hà Nội, returned from Hessen, Germany to Việt Nam on March 23. Upon arrival, he was sent to the quarantine area of ​​the Military School of Quảng Ninh Province and then was admitted to the hospital on March 25.

During treatment, the patient had three tests and all test results were negative for SARS-CoV-2 on April 13, 14 and 15. At present, the patient has no fever, no cough, and no breathing difficulties and is in a stable condition.

The two patients will continue to be isolated and monitored for the next 14 days, according to the Sub-committee for treatment of the National Steering Committee for COVID-19 Prevention and Control.

As of Thursday morning, the Ministry of Health reported 268 patients with COVID-19 and no fatalities in Việt Nam, including 160 overseas Vietnamese and foreigners (59.7 per cent) and 108 people infected in the community (40.3 per cent).
