ĐẮK LẮK — A total 253 people were hospitalised for suspected food poisoning after they ate at two separate wedding parties in two districts of the Central Highlands province of Đắk Lắk on Saturday.
By Sunday afternoon, most of the patients had recovered, according to the province’s Health Department.
The department asked the Food Safety Division and Healthcare Centres of Buôn Đôn and Krông Búk Districts to investigate the food poisoning cases.
Local hospitals including Buôn Hồ, Buôn Đôn and Hoà Bình General Hospital were asked to mobilise staff and equipment to provide proper care for the patients.
During the weekend, 107 out of 640 guests to a wedding party in Ea Wer Commune, Buôn Đôn District had symptoms of food poisoning and were taken to hospital.
Another wedding party in Chư Pô Commune, Krông Búk District saw 146 people suffering from food poisoning. About 1,000 people were invited to the party. — VNS
