3,000 fake goods confiscated at Ninh Hiệp Market

HÀ NỘI — The Hà Nội Market Watch on Thursday seized nearly 3,000 products of different kinds in the Ninh Hiệp Market in Gia Lâm District due to their use of famous trademarks.

The goods belonged to seven stores in the market.

The goods include watches, sunglasses, shoes and clothes. They have been labelled with famous brand names such as Dior, Chanel, Gucci, Hermes and Louis Vuitton.

Dương Ngọc Viện, head of the Market Watch No 14 under the Hà Nội Market Watch, said the goods were worth more than VNĐ1 billion (US$43,000).

The total administrative fine for the stores will be more than VNĐ300 million ($13,000).

All of the fake goods will be treated based on present laws, said Viện. — VNS
