KHÁNH HÒA — The Directorate for Roads of Việt Nam has announced its decision to set up an inspection team to supervise fee collection at the Ninh Lộc toll gate in southern Khánh Hòa Province.
The inspection is scheduled to last between March 19 and 26.
Apart from officers from the directorate, representatives from the Ministry of Transport’s Inspectorate and the Ministry of Public Security’s Department of Economic Security and the Investigation Police Department on Economics, Corruption-related Crimes and Smuggling would be invited to the inspection to ensure its transparency and accuracy.
The move was made after a number of local residents gathered at the toll gate, counting vehicles passing through since the end of February.
Local residents claimed that the fee collection of the Ninh Lộc toll gate charge was not transparent.
The interdisciplinary inspection team will announce the results of the inspection to local authorities when the inspection finishes. — VNS
