HÀ NỘI — The Directorate for Roads of Việt Nam (DRVN) is planning to check the operations of 11 build-operate-transfer (BOT) toll booths across the country.
Under the plan, inspections will be conducted by road management departments 1, 3 and 4.
The work started on Tuesday and must be completed before the end of June this year. The department will then report the results to the DRVN.
During their checks, inspectors will be able to punish violators based on regulations.
Nguyễn Văn Thành, director of Road Management Department 4, said the inspection aimed at assessing the real takings of the BOT toll booths and propose measures to improve transparency and effectiveness. — VNS
