HÀ NỘI — Vietnam Railways (VNR) has warned passengers about fake websites offering train tickets for two or three times the cost of authentic fares.

These website have domain names similar to those of the railway, so a number of passengers – particularly foreign ones – had mistakenly purchased tickets at an inflated cost.

To avoid being overcharged, VNR recommends using its authentic website to purchase train tickets at https://dsvn.vn.

For more information about policies and regulations of the railway sector, passengers can visit www.vr.com.vn or its subsidiaries in Ha Noi and HCM City at www.vantaiduongsathanoi.vnwww.facebook.com/duongsathanoi, https://saigonrailway.com.vn or www.facebook.com/duongsatsg.

To protect the interest of passengers in case of lost tickets or returns, VNR recommends bringing personal identification documents when purchasing tickets. Keep boarding pass codes to ensure information can be checked.

VNR also suggests passengers go to the main stations or tickets agents under VNR management to avoid purchasing fake tickets. — VNS
