HÀ NỘI — Việt Nam-Japan University and the Japanese aviation group ANA on Friday inked a deal to establish co-operation in human resource training for the industrial sector.

The two sides will co-operate in human resource training to support the development of Việt Nam and mutual understanding between Việt Nam and Japan and to promote people-to-people exchange as well as to encourage research and the application of research outcomes in real life.

The co-operation agreement includes internship opportunities in both countries, knowledge sharing in relevant fields like aviation operation and business management and carrying out research in public relations.

“The signing of the comprehensive co-operation agreement with ANA will create momentum to foster the development of the Việt Nam-Japan University, which means a lot for strengthening the Việt Nam-Japan relations,” Japanese Ambassador in Việt Nam Kunio Umeda said at the signing ceremony.

Việt Nam-Japan University rector Furuta Motoo said that the university already teamed up with ANA Việt Nam to offer internships to the students in August this year. Three students were admitted to the internship programme.

ANA senior vice president Koji Shibata said that the group’s partnership with the university will act as “a bridge between Việt Nam and Japan” to make the two countries become even closer. — VNS
