Companies fined for medical violations

A number of businesses have been fined for violations related to the production of medicines, according to the Ministry of Health’s Drug Administration of Việt Nam.

HÀ NỘI — A number of businesses have been fined for violations related to the production of medicines, according to the Ministry of Health’s Drug Administration of Việt Nam.

The administration has decided to stop receiving dossiers and extending registration papers of circulation for drugs manufactured by Zee Laboratories Company of India for six months.

The decision was announced after the company failed to update information on drug use at the request of the health ministry.

The two other companies also punished for the same violation were named as Thai Nakorn Patana Ltd Com and Micro Labs Limited also registered in India.

Another company, Nutri-Pharma of the United States received the same punishment for 12 months because it failed to update information related to effectiveness and safety of drug sold in Việt Nam.

The Drug Administration has also issued decisions to suspend the circulation of drugs and cosmetics which did not meet quality standards.

Koreamin of Korean Yuyu INC was suspended for failure to meet quality criteria for gingko klavon glycoside and failing to take samples of this drug to check their quality.

The suspension was also given for SAT BB of Đại Lợi International Joint Stock Company for failure to meet microbiological limits of the product.

The Lenka gentle skin cleanser of Gamma Cosmetic Company and Acne control serum of Nàng Lá Ltd Com also saw their circulation suspended for not meeting the microbiological requirement in products. — VNS
