HCM CITY — A walk to honour families of Agent Orange victims and poor disabled people who have managed to overcome their difficulties was organised on August 5 at the Đầm Sen Cultural Park in HCM City to mark the Day for AO/Dioxin Victims, August 10.

The walk sent a message to “not forget them”.

Organised by the Red Cross and FrieslandCampina, the walk also raised funds for AO victims and poor disabled people.

Đoàn Minh Bằng, 19, of the Từ Dũ Obstetrics Hospital’s Peace Village -- where 400 people, most of them suffering from the effects of AO, live -- said at the event that he would try his best to become a helpful person when he grows up. — VNS
