A fresh cold wave is approaching the mountainous areas of Việt Nam on Monday, according to the National Centre for Hydro-Meteorology Forecasting.

HÀ NỘI  A fresh cold wave is approaching the mountainous areas of Việt Nam on Monday, according to the National Centre for Hydro-Meteorology Forecasting.

Temperatures in Hà Nội and the northeastern provinces are predicted to drop to 14-17 degrees Celsius on Monday evening or night.

The cold wave is forecast to bring scattered light rainfall to the northern and northern central provinces on Tuesday.

The central provinces of Thanh Hóa and Thừa Thiên-Huế will also be affected, with cloudy and rainy weather predicted. From central Đà Nẵng City to central Bình Thuận Province, the skies are expected to be cloudy, with the sun shining occasionally. Temperatures will range from 18 to 21 degrees Celsius.  VNS
