QUẢNG NAM – Tây Giang Medical Centre in central Quang Nam Province has implemented new medical technique services to meet the demand of local people and those who live in villages bordering Laos.
Modern medical techniques such as X-ray, mechanical ventilation, electrolytes, and colour ultrasound are now available at the centre. The centre also sent doctors and nurses to join vocational training on endoscopic techniques at Huế Central Hospital and Đà Nẵng Hospital to implement complicated medical techniques.
A representative of the centre said this was good news as local people would no longer have to travel to central hospitals, which have become overloaded and caused additional costs for patients.
Tây Giang Medical Centre is a district-level hospital. Established in 2008 in the border area between Việt Nam-Laos, the centre was poorly equipped with ten beds and simple medical equipment.VNS
