Students of Đoàn Thị Điểm Primary School win programming prizes

The fourth graders of Đoàn Thị Điểm Primary School in Hà Nội won the three highest prizes in the primary category in the final round of the WeCode 2016 Contest held last Saturday.

HÀ NỘI — The fourth graders of Đoàn Thị Điểm Primary School in Hà Nội won the three highest prizes in the primary category in the final round of the WeCode 2016 Contest held last Saturday.

The contest attracted 60 students of primary and secondary schools in Hà Nội.

Candidates used Scratch, which is a programming language, to create their own games, entertainment programmes or cartoons that provide solutions to help improve the quality of public transport.

In the intermediate category, the first prize was awarded to the seventh grader Ngô Thế Anh of Nguyễn Trường Tộ Secondary School. 

Students of Nguyễn Tất Thành Secondary School and Vinschool won the second prize. 

The third prize was presented to three students of Vinschool, FPT and Nguyễn Trường Tộ secondary schools.

The awarding ceremony will be held on National Robothon Day on November 5 in Hà Nội.

The students who won in the contest will attend another international competition in Indonesia on November 19. —VNS
