HCM CITY —HCM City Paediatrics Hospital No 2 yesterday opened a new seven-storey building with total area of 15,600sq.m and 100 rooms for health examinations.
The rooms are dedicated to specialities such as nutrition, psychology and physical therapy and emergency aid as well as outpatient treatment.

The hospital was built with 500 beds in 1987. The number of patients has increased to an average of 5,000 turns per day and, on some days, to 7,500.
Dr Nguyễn Tấn Bỉnh, head of the city’s Department of Health, said the city planned to develop its paediatrics hospitals as a leading centre for the field in the region by 2020. — VNS
