HCM City places great importance on developing science and technology, mobilising the intellectual resources of Vietnamese people worldwide and creating favourable conditions for them to contribute to the nation’s development, according to vice chairman of the municipal People's Committee Nguyễn Văn Dũng.

A comprehensive training programme to produce international standard professionals in eight sectors was implemented effectively in the first half of this year in HCM City, according to the southern metro’s Department of Education and Training.
