QUẢNG NINH — Authorities in Đông Triều Township, Quảng Ninh Province are continuing the search for a missing worker who is believed to have fallen into a sinkhole on June 3.

The incident occurred at 7.20am while a group of workers from COLAVI JSC were repairing and reinforcing a conveyor belt that supplies coal to the Mạo Khê Thermal Power Plant.

As they started, a sinkhole about 4m wide and 10m deep suddenly appeared.

After doing a quick headcount, they found that one worker, identified as N.V.Q, 33, from Hoàng Quế Ward, Đông Triều Township, was missing. They searched the sinkhole but were unable to locate him.

Suspecting that he might be buried under the debris, they immediately reported the incident to their management.

The company's leaders rushed to the scene, cordoned off the site and started a full-scale search operation.
