HÀ NỘI — Vietnamese Government has approved a proposal to rearrange workdays around the upcoming holidays on April 30 and May 1.

Accordingly, public employees will be able to enjoy a five-day break due to this change. The specific details of the plan include having a day off on Monday, April 29, instead of working, and making up for it by working on Saturday, May 4.

This adjustment will result in a prolonged break for public employees, starting from Saturday, April 27, and continuing until Wednesday, May 1.

The Prime Minister has issued instructions to government agencies to reorganise their staffing to ensure uninterrupted public services during this extended break. This may involve assigning personnel to handle any urgent matters that may arise.

For the private sector, the Ministry of Labour, Invalids and Social Affairs has recommended that employers apply the same break as public employees.

They have also emphasised the importance of strictly adhering to labour-related regulations and implementing policies that are favorable to workers. - VNS
