Two men investigated for infringing on State interests

BÌNH DƯƠNG — One man has been detained and another has been put on house arrest as police investigate allegations they published numerous distorted and fabricated articles on social media pages.

According to the decision of the Bình Dương Police Investigative Agency, Nguyễn Đức Dự, 48, residing in Thuận An City, Bình Dương Province was detained, and Hoàng Quốc Việt, 46, residing in Dĩ An City, Bình Dương Province was restricted from leaving his place of residence.

Both men are accused of defaming the Long An Province judicial agencies and the Supreme People's Court related to the investigation of a murder case in 2008, committed by Hồ Duy Hải.

The two men under investigation are accused of abusing the rights to democracy and freedom to infringe on the State’s interests and legitimate rights and interests of organisations and individuals as stipulated in Article 331 of the Penal Code. — VNS
