HÀ NỘI – Two adults and a young child from the same family have died after a fire broke out at their electric motorcycle shop in Hà Nội early Wednesday morning.

The incident occurred at around 2am at their shop on Ngãi Cầu Village in An Khánh Commune, Hoài Đức District, according to the district police.

The three victims were a husband, 38, a wife, 33, and their seven-year-old daughter. The identity of the victims remains unknown.

After the alarm was raised, the authorities promptly dispatched eight fire trucks along with more than 50 firefighters to the scene.

By around 3am on the same day, the fire was successfully extinguished, preventing it from spreading to neighbouring houses.

According to initial reports, the store had an area of over 100 square metres and was five metres high, serving as both a residence and a business for selling electric bicycles and motorcycles.

The cause of the fire is being investigated. – VNS
