HÀ NỘI — The People's Committee of Long Biên District, Hà Nội, is coordinating with the Việt Nam Architecture Magazine to launch a contest to create the logo for Long Biên District on Wednesday.
The contest is one of a series of activities to celebrate the 20th anniversary of the establishment of Long Biên District (November 6, 2003 - November 6, 2023).
“As the largest administrative unit of the capital, Long Biên is located in the northeast of Hà Nội, a land with a long history and rich development potential. On the occasion of the 20th anniversary of its establishment and development, Long Biên District launched a logo creation contest with the aim of finding the most typical image and product, showing the characteristics of the land, people, history, culture, economy, politics and society of the district," said district chairman Nguyễn Mạnh Hà at the contest launching ceremony.
“The People's Committee of Long Biên District invites culturists, sculptors, painters, architects, and art students to participate in the contest, contributing to raising the awareness of preserving and promoting the historical traditions and unique cultural values of Long Biên District as well as promote the image of the land and people of Long Biên District to domestic and foreign tourists,” added Hà.

The contest aims to promote the image of Long Biên District with a youthful, dynamic and progressive new vitality.
Prize money will total VNĐ350 million, including one First Prize (VNĐ150 million); one Impressive Prize (VNĐ50 million); one Idea Prize (VNĐ25 million) and one Distribution Prize (VNĐ25 million).
The contest organisation board will start to receive contest entries for the preliminary round from May 24 to June 29. An exhibition will be organised from August 11 – 25 to collect votes from experts and the public. Results will be announced on August 28, 2023.
Participants can submit entries online via email at cuocthi@tckt.vn or send them directly to the Architecture Magazine’s address at No. 40 Tăng Bạt Hổ Street, Hai Bà Trưng District, Hà Nội or the Urban Management Department, Long Biên District at No. 1, Vạn Hạnh Street, Long Biên District, Hà Nội.
