Korean man dies after crashing into power pole in Đà Lạt resort city

LÂM ĐỒNG — Police in the resort city of Đà Lạt in the Central Highlands province of Lâm Đồng on Monday announced that a Korean tourist died last Saturday after his motorbike crashed into a roadside power pole.

The victim was identified as Lim Chang Soo, born in 1969, from the Republic of Korea, registered for tourist accommodation from March 22 to 28, 2023 at Antonico villa at No. 20, Hầm Đá alley, Ward 10, Đà Lạt City.

According to local authorities, around 2.30am on March 25, the accident happened when the man was driving a motorbike with a number plate 49B1 - 035.48 moving from Trần Hưng Đạo Street to Hùng Vương Street, both in Ward 10.

Local residents took him to Lâm Đồng General Hospital. Due to his severe injury, the victim died at the hospital. Medical workers kept his identity papers and transferred them to authorities one day later.

As the motorbike's ownership has been changed many times, making it harder to identify the renter and the victim. — VNS
