Deputy Inspector General passes away at 56 due to stroke

HÀ NỘI - Deputy Inspector General Trần Văn Minh had a stroke and died early this morning, according to initial information from the Government Inspectorate.

Minh, 56, a native of Quảng Ngãi Province, had a Doctor of Economics degree.

He was assigned to help the Government Inspector General to direct implementation of state management in the areas of inspection, settlement of complaints and denunciations of the cultural and social sector; inspection and settlement of complaints and denunciations in Region 2 (including 18 Central and Central Highlands provinces).

He also helped the Government Inspector General to direct scientific research, training and retraining; perform other tasks as assigned by the Government Inspector General; directly in charge of Department III, Department II, The Institute of Strategy and Scientific Inspectorate, and the Inspector Training College.

In January 2019, Minh, then Deputy Secretary of the Quảng Ngãi Provincial Party Committee, was transferred and appointed for a definite term as Deputy Inspector General of the Government. VNS
