A survey of 30 inpatient COVID-19 patients and patients who came for testing at the HCM City Hospital for Tropical Diseases showed that up to 24 patients were infected with sub-variant BA.5, followed by four patients with sub-variant BA.2 and one patient each with variant BA.1 and BA.4.

From September 5, services from Hà Nội to Lào Cai will be available on Mondays, Thursdays and Fridays. Trains will depart from Hà Nội Railway Station at 10pm and arrive at Lào Cai Railway Station at 5:55am.
